Well, this is the first time i've ever been on anything like this, its a bit daunting to be totally honest, i'm not the best with computers so it will probably take me some time to get used to it all.
The reason for starting this blog i suppose is, just for me really to write down my own thoughts, suppose i kind of diary in a way?
Im into fashion but not in the way that i have to have the latest trends, i mean do all the people that follow trends actually like the clothing? What is with that, i don't understand! I like fashion more in the way of observing, people watching, internet browsing, seeing how things are put together, different colours, styles...if you asked me about all the designers i doubt i'd know half of them! Yet, I have a passion for it which i can't find the words to explain.
Im very into four rooms at the moment on channel 4 and i do like political art (although i haven't created any art of my own since AS level), i like how you can interpret art in different ways and there's no-one there to tell you your opinions wrong, i see art with no boundary, you can explore what you want. I would like to go and see Damien Hirst's exhibition over the summer!
I do a degree in psychology, I suppose thats where the name came from: always on the outskirts. Psychology, as you are probably aware is the study of humans and from my own experience the more i've learnt, the more i believe we're always on the outskirts, looking in, observing. I found in fascinating when i learnt that we are the last people to know what we sounds like! Yes, next time you hear yourself on a tape recording (and as your listening your thinking that definitely doesn't sound like me), that is the closest you'll come to hearing your own voice! Its crazy!... how much of ourselves do we actually know?
Anyway, i've rambled on enough. My messages will have purpose to them (well, some at least!) but for now, i just wanted to introduce myself and get a feel for this tinggg
